Meet our CEO & Managing Principal

“And God has appointed these in the church first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues.” 1 Corinthians 12:28 (NJKV)

Demetra Morgan is a servant of God who has been tremendously blessed with a strong mix of spiritual gifts.  She joyfully manages to utilize most, if not all of her gifts in whatever capacity necessary to further advance His Kingdom.  Her strongest gift, by far, is that of Administration.  In addition to being able to plan, organize and implement, she is definitely a strategic thinker, who operates outside of the parameters of most.  Her ability to effectively manage multiple people, projects and priorities, coupled with her strong work ethic is almost unparalleled.  She prides herself on operating in excellence and believes that mediocrity is unacceptable.

With more than 15 years of administrative, church leadership and operations, as well as human resource experience, working in both the private and public sector, she brings a wealth of knowledge in organizational management.  In addition to serving in various roles throughout the local church, she has worked in industries such as manufacturing (union and corporate), sales, legal, hospitality, higher education and State government.  She has an affinity for organizational development and strategic planning, particularly with churches, non-profits and community-based organizations.  Her accomplishments include developing employee onboarding and orientation programs, policy manuals, standard operating procedures, employee handbooks, infrastructure projects, recruitment and retention strategies, professional development and training programs, job descriptions, performance appraisals, total compensation systems, ministry guidelines and vision execution.  Additionally, she has written a number of grant proposals and received funding awards ranging from $2500 to more than $1 million.

She has also been anointed with the gift of teaching and is a much sought after speaker, trainer and workshop facilitator on a myriad of topics for personal and professional development as well as organizational effectiveness.  Demetra most recently served as Church Administrator at Berean Christian Church, a role in which she was responsible for the day-to-day oversight of church business and ministry operations.  This mega-church located in metro-Atlanta has 12,000+ members and 200+ staff, three locations and multiple weekend worship services.  Before joining the staff, she served as a consultant for Berean while working for the State of Georgia as Executive Assistant to the Chancellor for the University System of Georgia.

Prior to relocating to Georgia, she was Executive Assistant to the CEO of a multi-brand fast food franchise.  During her tenure at V&J Holding Companies, Inc., she also supported operations for the First Jurisdiction of Wisconsin Church of God In Christ as well as Auxiliaries in Ministry of the Church of God In Christ, and was instrumental in the launching of the first ever charter school partnership with a Boys and Girls Club.  At her home church of Christ the King, she worked on the startup team for Kings Academy Christian School and the CTK Quality of Life Center.  She is truly excited about taking her years of experience in successful church and organizational operations to be a blessing to as many ministries as possible.

Her professional affiliations include the Society for Church Consulting, The Church Network (formerly National Association of Church Business Administration), and Society for Human Resource Management.  She has served on a number of boards including Berean Enterprises, Inc., Berean Community Development Corporation, AfroWorld Enterprises, Inc., CTK Development Corporation, Christian Business and Professional Alliance, YMCA of Greater Milwaukee, Junior Achievement of Wisconsin, National Coalition of Black Meeting Planners, and National Association of Bridal Consultants - Wisconsin Chapter.

In 2011, Demetra earned the certification of Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), after matriculating through continuing education courses at Clayton State University, where she presently teaches adult learners basic and advanced level HR courses.  She later achieved the SHRM Senior Certified Professional designation (SHRM-SCP).  Also, she is certified as a Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma, a process improvement methodology.  While overseeing the Summer Food Service Program through the USDA and State of Georgia, she received training and successfully passed the exam to become a Certified Food Safety Manager (CFSM).  Demetra received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin, with a major in French and minor in Communications. She earned an MBA in Entrepreneurship in August, 2020 - during a pandemic!

Her passion lies in serving through the local church, particularly in music and outreach ministries, locally and globally – having completed multiple mission trips in the U.S., Guatemala, Kenya, South Africa, and Uganda.  Born and raised in Wisconsin, Demetra is a die-hard Green Bay Packers Fan!  When she's not working, serving, or watching football, she enjoys traveling, water activities, outdoor adventures, listening to gospel and jazz music, reading and spending quality time with family and friends.
